Derek has over 40 years of pharmacy experience and is an Independent Prescriber specialising in travel medicine.
He has had many research and peer reviewed articles published which reflect his commitment in providing and supporting travel medicine services to many businesses and organisations.
He is a member of the Executive Board , and a Fellow of the Faculty of Travel Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). A Fellow of the International Society of Travel Medicine and section Editor of the Journal of Travel medicine.

Currently Derek is an OSCE Medical Examiner for the FTM and Bath University
